Originally from Vietnam and now cultivated in various hot regions of the US and Australia The Gac Fruit has an amazingly vibrant colour inside and outside. It’s flavour profile often reminds people of a mild avocado with an element of sweetness and a cucumber-like aroma. It grows as a vine in tropical environments, producing fruit the size of a small melon. It’s no surprise it belongs in the Curcubitaceae family which includes other vine fruits including all the squashes and pumpkins.
Because of it’s unique vibrance we included it in the collection. The Exotic Fruits Collection celebrates a variety of edible ingredients predominantly found in the markets of Latin America, Africa, Asia and Australasia.
