Native to Latin America, The Cassabanana fruit has a delicious, melon-like flavour when it is ripe, which needs high temperatures to ripen. The sweet, aromatic, yellow-to-orange flesh of the mature fruit is eaten raw or made into preserves. It looks like a brown and yellow giant sausage. Unmistakable!
As with many of the fruits included in the collection, it is very unusual and probably unknown to most. It can be used as a cushion or a pillow in your home, workplace or restaurant. The design is on one side. The reverse is ecru coloured.
